The brown cotton in our Mojave Fair Trade Placemats is a naturally-occurring brown cotton species native to Laos.

• Villages sustainably harvest wood from fallen coconut trees and weave cotton threads in patterns to create each piece.
• The cotton is grown beside rice fields in small plots, but is uncertified organic because villagers have difficulty paying expensive certification fees.
• Rolls nicely for easy storage, or keep flat and stow in drawers.
