Resembling fish scales and eyes of the Lao moon, our Fair Trade Moon Scarf is a simple repeating pattern found on various decorative articles of clothing throughout Laos.

• Depending on a weaver's individual style preferences, traditionally this design could have small moons or large moons. Each piece takes an expert weaver multiple days to weave, sometimes up to a week depending on how many hours she's able to weave per day.
• Weaving is typically completed at home, interspersed between caring for children, tending to rice fields, and other household duties.
