Dyed with mud from the Mekong River, our 100% silk Fair Trade Angels Touch Ikat Scarf is cozy, light-weight, and emits an air of elegance!
-
The design is a co-creation by Gianna Driver and our artisan women. It’s a simplified version of very intricate ikat designs found throughout many indigenous Lao communities.
-
Touched on each end by angels (who love ikat), this fair trade scarf is natural white with either a mud or indigo ikat pattern on each end. This scarf is a GIANNA team favorite!

A perfect elegant, fair trade gift, we at Gianna are just in love with our 100% silk scarf!
-
The white part of the scarf is undyed silk, while the reddish-brown colors are derived from Mekong River mud.
-
Note that due to the nature of natural dyes and hand-crafted textiles, the exact coloring and ikat design will vary slightly from piece to piece.
-
Ikat is an ancient art form used in textiles throughout Laos. Specific designs are indicative of various ethnic groups. This design is Gianna’s translation of these ikat patterns.
