The only girl in a family of four children, Mital recalls a tumultuous childhood with lots of unrest, both inside and outside her home.

• School was a very difficult experience for Mital. Her teachers ridiculed and criticized her, while her parents were too wrapped up in the struggles of poverty to take a big interest.
• In middle school, Mital finally lost interest and dropped out.
• She's been embroidering for some time now, which has allowed her to contribute to the family kitty. This has resulted in her family giving her more respect and expressing their admiration.
• Mital is still unmarried, but expects her parents to find a suitable husband in the not-too-distant future.
